George Hendrix Park Youth Recreation Association is a non-profit corporation that provides athletics and other recreational opportunities to the youth of North Bryan County, Georgia.

Organized team sports offered include: football, baseball, softball, soccer, basketball, tennis, and cheerleading. In addition, the Associatin sponsors youth activities such as weekly roller skating and monthly dance socials at the parks social hall and gymnasium. We also offer exercise classes.

George Hendrix Park was established on May 18, 1976 and currently encompasses 108.5 acres on Wilma Edwards Road. The park offers multiple facilities for sporting events including 8 baseball / softball fields, a regulation-sized soccer field, an indoor gymnasium. Three full-time service concessions are staffed by HPYRA volunteers during all the team games. Other amenities include two tennis courts, two stocked fishing ponds, two picnic pavilions and two playgrounds. Over 20,000 people visit the park annually.
